International sex symbol, Sophia Loren, won the world's most naturally beautiful person in an online poll- at the age of 71. A key to maintaining her youthful looks is "the odd bath in virgin olive oil." Olive oil is an all-purpose and all-natural remedy. It's one of those substances that's good for numerous things, from cooking to beauty. The secret to olive oil is that it's full of omega fatty acids, or the kind of fat that does the body good. The great thing about olive oil is that it does the body good both inside and out. It is also extremely cost-effective, especially compared to the commercial beauty products. Olive oil is also versatile. Imagine a beauty product that can make your face, cuticles and hair look great? Now, imagine finding it on a grocery store shelf.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Olive oil
    • 1
Get extra virgin olive oil. The other bottles of olive oil have been chemically processed, whereas extra virgin olive oil is in its purest form with the most health benefits.
    • 2
Use olive oil on your cuticles and nails. Soak your nails in a bowl of olive oil for a few minutes. This will help brittle nails get stronger and make it easier for you to safely push your cuticles back.
    • 3
Use olive oil on your hands. Before bed, rub on a generous amount of olive oil. Put on some white cotton gloves and leave them on overnight. This will leave your hands silky smooth.
    • 4
Use olive oil on your lips. Dab a little bit of olive oil on chapped lips to soften them.
    • 5
Use olive oil on your hair. Warm 1/4 to 3/4 cup of olive oil in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds. Make sure the olive oil is not too hot. Apply the oil from root to tip. Wrap it in a towel for 30 minutes to treat dry scalp.
    • 6
Use olive oil on your face. Massage the olive oil onto your face for softening or moisturizing, applying more to rough or cracked areas.
    • 7
Use olive oil on your body. Add a few tablespoons of olive oil to your bath water in order to get super soft skin.
    • 8
Use olive oil for shaving. Olive oil can be a substitute shaving cream.
    • 9
Use olive oil on your feet. Before bedtime, massage a generous amount of olive oil onto feet and put on white socks. Leave the socks on overnight.
    • 10
Use olive oil as a makeup remover. Dab olive oil on a cotton swab and remove makeup.
