Ingredients:
1 lb Ground Beef (we used Bison this time)
Garlic Salt
Black Pepper
LunaOlivo Modena Balsamic Vinegar
Blue Cheese
Toppings of Choice:
Mixed Lettuce
Ketchup
Pickles
Tomato & Onion (optional)
Directions:
Preheat grill to medium high heat.
Patty the meat into 3 or 4 burgers (we usually do 3 with 1lb of meat - 1/3 lb each). Splash about 1 tsp of Balsamic Vinegar onto each patty and gently rub it evenly across each patty. Next, liberally sprinkle with garlic salt and black pepper (Don't be shy people!). Flip patties and repeat.
Spray grill with non-stick cooking spray. Place one side down and close lid. Allow to cook for 3-4 minutes (until there are nice grill marks on the one side). Gently flip patties with a spatula and turn the heat down to Medium - Medium low (depending on how hot your grill gets). Scoop a small heap of blue cheese crumbles on top of each patty (or a large mound if you REALLY get down with the Blue Cheese like we do!). Close grill lid and allow to cook to desired done-ness. I'm a medium girl - the hubs likes his a little more on the medium-rare side!
Pull the burgers off the grill and allow to rest for just a couple of minutes. I like to prepare my bun while this is going on. I put some lettuce on the bottom half of the bun, and my ketchup on the top half (along w/ pickles & tomatos if I have them - this night I did not have them). Place the burger on top of the lettuce and splash some more balsamic vinegar on top (at least a good tsp - or more!). Put the top bun on top and take a bite of the tastiest burger! Ever.
We heated up some Alexia Sweet Potato fries to go with our burgers (A little tip: cook them for about 15 minutes longer than the bag says - they are SOOO much crunchier {AKA: better!}).
